Laufenburg is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Aargau. It is the seat of the district of the same name. On 1 January 2010 the municipality Sulz merged into Laufenburg.It has approximately 2000 inhabitants. On the other side of the Rhine River lies Laufenburg (Baden), Germany.
