The ImmoMapper Rent Index shows how expensive rents are in different Swiss municipalities compared to the national median which has an ImmoMapper rent Index of 100.
Municipalities with an index larger than 100 have rent levels that are higher than the national median. Vice versa, municipalities with an index less than 100 have a rents lower than the national median.
For example, if a municipality has a rent index of 114 then rents are generally about 14% more expensive than the national median. If the rent index is 85 then rents are about 85% of the national median.
Methodology: Based on normalized rental prices for homes with 1 to 6.5 rooms that were offered recently. The ImmoMapper Rent Index is not shown for Municipalities with less than 5 reported offers ("insufficient data"). Date of Analysis: August 10, 2017
